How Always Petroleum CEO was Kidnapped–Police

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Always Petroleum,energy services,Alhaji Muhammed Jamiu Idris,who was Kidnapped at Idare in Okene Local Governnent Area of kogi state on Saturday was abducted by men who came to pay him Sallah homage and pretended to be his well-wishers.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Police Command in the state,SP William Ovye Aya, made the disclosure to the Correspondent of The Reporters in Lokoja on Saturday in a telephone interview while confirming the story from Lokoja.

He said: ,The men,six in number,glad in “agba” came to pay Sallah visit to their Idris, pretending to be his friends. During the so-called visit, they kidnapped him and whiskeyed him to unknown destination.”

Aya said the Commissioner of Police,CP Edward Egbuka, had deployed his men to go after the Kidnappers, with a view to rescuing Idris alive, arrest and bring the kidnappers to face Justice.

Our Correspondent gathered from sources that Idris was kidnapped by in the early hours by gunmen,armed with sophisticated weapon when they stormed his residence and took him away.

The Kidnappers were said to have
resisted the people who attempted to rescue Idris from them as they beaten him before taking him away.

Our Correspondent also gathered that the Kidnappers have not made any contact to the family of their victim as at the time of this report at about 6 p.m.
