Popular mechanic hacked to death,1 month after marriage

A middle aged mechanic cum farmer, Abiodun Fakoro, has been hacked to death in kogi state, barely a month after he conducted his marriage to his heartthrob by suspected herdsmen.

Our Correspondent gathered that the suspected killers murdered Fakoro on Monday afternoon when he was working in his farm at Egbe in Yagba West Local Governnent Area of kogi state.

Our Correspondent further gathered that the late Fakoro had earlier been declared missing by his family who later found his remains in a terrible state by the security operatives and village vigilante, with several cuts and tired to a tree decomposed along the road leading to his farm.

“His assailants killed him, inflicted a lot of cuts on him and tired his lifeless body to a nearby tree in the farm”, a local from Egbe confirmed.

Reacting to the sad development,some residents of the the town were said to have vented venom on their perceived suspected killers living in the area during which many houses and motor cycles were destroyed.

The Reporters reports that security operatives , including soldiers, especially police have been dispatched to Egbe town on Monday to restore peace

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Police Command in the state,, SP William Aya ,who confirmed the incident added that the command had commenced investigation into the matter, with a view to arresting the suspects and make them face Justice.
