The Leadership tussle in All Progressive Congress, APC, in Etsako Central LG of Edo State has led to the emergence of Chief J. B. Aloye on one hand and Honourable Emma Momoh, on the other side.
A Member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress and South South Organizing Secretary of the Party, Dr. Blessing Agbomhere, has pledged his total support and loyalty to the leadership of Chief J. B. Aloye as the Leader of the Party (APC) in Etsako Central Council Area of Edo State.
Speaking at the Grand Reception ceremony held in his honour at Auchi in Edo North Senatorial District of the State, Agbomhere thanked the Party Leaders for their prayers and support towards his emergence as the Zonal Organizing Secretary of the APC.
The Former Governorship Aspirant said the Central Leader remains a Father and the Leader of the Party in the Council Area, whose exemplary Leadership Style has led to the great and important Victories recorded in the Party.
The South South Organizing Secretary urged the Party Leaders in the area to close ranks to be able to defeat the Ruling Party in the Forthcoming elections in the Council Area and in the Senatorial District.
Dr. Agbomhere, reiterated that he will provide direction to the Party to make APC more attractive to the People of the State.
He sued for unity and cooperation among the Leaders to record landslide victory in future Elections.
Dr Agbomhere appealed to Gladiators trying to destabilize the Party in the Council Area to have a rethink and work towards the unity and progress of the APC.
Earlier in another meeting of Leaders and Stakeholders in Etsako central LGA held on 02/05/2022, upheld the acceptability of the new central Leader in person of Hon.Emmanuel Ozimede Momoh.
The Leadership and Stakeholders meeting had in attendance the Zonal leader, past House of Assembly member, past Councillors, ward leaders, past and present ward Chairmen, past and present Women leaders, past and present Youth leaders to mention but a few to reposition the leadership structure of APC in Etsako central LGA. In the meeting, the zone 3 ( South Uneme) Hon.Okpaffi Mohammed emphasized the need to restructure the APC leadership in Etsako central with a particular reference to the position of Central Leader.
He expressed total dissatisfaction in the way and manner where one man is the Lord of the multitude that will have no say, that will also determine who and who is to be invited for any meeting, thereby fractionalizing the party.
He therefore moved a motion, which was also seconded by King Benji Igbadumhe that henceforth Hon. Emmanuel Ozimede Momoh be so recognised as the new central Leader. The ” YES” thereby has it ; thereby declaring Hon. Emmanuel Ozimede Momoh as the Central Leader.
In his acceptance speech, Hon.Momoh expressed gratitude to everyone that jointly requested of him to come and serve the people once again.
He promised to be the servant, that he is prepared to work bringing back the lost political glory.
Hon. Joseph Ayegbeni Ugheoke( JP) and others top leaders present at the meeting urged all and sundry to wake up from political slumber and be alive to their responsibilities, reminding them that” no man is God”.
Our checks revealed that the APC State chapter is yet to wade in so as to recognise the authentic faction, although the Chief J. B. Aloye group is said to have the upper hand.
