The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaha Bello, has appointed Alhaji MAMMAN ISA OKATAHI,as the OHI OF OKENE, following the governor’s approval for the establishment of the stool of OHI OF OKENE as separate from the former OHI OF OKENGWE/OKENE.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Barr.Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat,in Lokoja on Thursday.
“Distinctly, the former Ohi of Okengwe/Okene is now OHI OF OKENGWE,” the Commissioner said.
In the same vein, the vacant stool of the OHI OF EIKA, which is vacant after the deceased occupant, has got a replacement in the person of MALLAM UMAR MOMOHJIMOH OPEWU, as approved by the governor,according to the Commissioner.
“Their official installation and presentation of staff of office to be done alongside with others on March 5, 2022 at the Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja,at 10a.m” he further disclosed.
