The group also the two parties urged to sheath their sword in the interest of the Nigerian Students, Parents and work together to ensure continuity in the academic calendar, thereby improving the quality of education in tertiary institutions.
The National President of CNPC, Bala Salihu Dawakin kudu, who made the call while speaking at the 2021 National Youth Conference of Northern Of Non Governmental Organization in Abuja, said that such strike action had not brought anything good to the education sector of the country, more especially Northern Nigeria with 80 per cen masses.
He said students in Nigeria had multifaceted challenges, ranging from insecurity, inadequate funding, instability arising from incessant strike actions, quality of pedagogy, research and output among others.
“It is necessary to beg the ASUU not embark on fresh strike, we must reflect on the struggle of the Coalition of People Congress, considering that majority of our Nigerian students can not even pay the registration, especially tertiary institution students.
“We call on the government to always engage the leadership of the various unions, on the need to amicably resolve the problems to avoid strike actions,” he further pleaded.
The Reporters recalls that ASUU has given an altimatum to the Federal government to fulfill the demands, bordering on welfare of its members among others or risk another strike.
