Over 50 members,13 committees raised for Justice Moses Bello’s burial

As the people of Central Senatorial district of Kogi State, and the state in general await the arrival of the remains of the pioneer President, Customary Court of Appeal,FCT,Justice Moses Bello, family,friends and associates of the legal icon have raised over 50 members and 13 committees to organize a befitting burial for the fallen hero.

The Reporters,an online media outfit, reports that Justice Bello (68), who hailed from Inoziomi in Adavi Local Governnent Area of Kogi State,died about two weeks ago during an illness.

According to the programme released by the media team in Abuja on Thursday in Abuja,the deceased would be buried on September 25 at his home, Inoziomi, Adavi Local Government Area Kogi State at the end of series of programmes lined up for the event.

Our Correspondent further reports that the Central Planning/Monitoring Committee has Alhaji Amuda Yusuf Sulaiman and Mr Thomas Omuya Ahmed as Chairman and Secretary General respectively.

Other Committees include:Protocol,Security,Accommodation,Publicity,Finance,Entertainment, Transport/Logistics,Valedictory,Liturgical,Internment, Medical,Souvenir, Central Planning,Security, Entertainment.

The Media Committee is headed by a veteran Journalist, Alhaji Mohammed Bello with Alhaji D.U Ahmed, the Editor in Chief,The Reporters,an online publication, Austin Ochu, a veteran broadcaster and Steve Salawu, a media consultant as some of the members.

A statement from the secretary general on Friday in Abuja, revealed that all hands are deck, adding that Coordinating/Monitoring team,the Heads of all committees and the family/critical stake holders have engaged in series of meetings to
ensure a successful burial programme for the burial.

“Every plan is going on well with control drives. The Posters and Banners are out and has been sent to home front for publication, postings in strategic places to adequately inform the general public of the burial programme.

” The Radio and TV jingles and announcements to start on Sunday 19th of September 2021. The full details of the various broadcast will be made known here for the public to note for the purposes of listening and monitoring,” Ahmed said.

He disclosed that in furtherance of ensuring a successful burial,” all committees meeting is scheduled to hold on Saturday 18th of September 2021, at Justice Bello House by 2p.m.”

The secretary general urged the public to aid the committees with” prayers and good support in all we are doing for our late brother and May God continue to uphold you all for being there for the family.”

Our Correspondent reports that the President, Muhammadu Buhari, the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and other prominent Nigerians have poured their hearts to family of the late legal luminary, in their separate condolence messages, while others troop to his Abuja residence to register their condolences.
