Africa shall soon witness the crowning of the first Hiatian-American queen in Nigeria,following the conferment of traditional title of Bmazazhi on Marie Antoinette Jean Pierre Theligene by the Karu Traditional Council of Nassarawa State in Nigeria, come September at the Esu Karu’ Palace.
His Royal Highness,The Esu Karu’,Pharm(Dr) Luka Pants Baba.
In a statement by the Vice President, the Valley of Love Ministries in Nigeria, Dr. JohnJohn Uket,His Royal Highness,The Etsu Karu’, Pharm. (Dr.) Luka Panya Baba, will perform the ceremony in September,2021.
Uket said,”The event which shall also foster cultural exchange and socio-economic development between Haiti and Nigeria is perceived as opportunity to herald stronger historical inclinations and connections between the people of Haiti with traceable African roots.
“Marie Theligene is the President and Founder of the Valley of Love Ministries, West Palm Beach, Florida, United States of America.
“The Valley of Love Ministries is a Non-Profit Organization, established in 2004 and currently assist over 500 families per week, 1200-2000 per month with shelter, food, clothing, job assistance, and physical and spirituals needs as well.
“Mrs Theligene is of Haiti decent and also a citizen of the United States of America. She is committed to promoting African cultural values in her drive to evolving a cultural narrative of African people especially of the Christian origins.
“This she and her organization intend to achieve through strategic support from the Haiti government, USA and other nations,through her reputable influence in ministry and humanitarian gestures around the world.
In a release made available to newsmen, dated 25th June, 2021, the Esu Karu, His Royal Highness, Pharm. (Dr.) Luka Panya extended the warm greetings of the Karu Traditional Council and indeed, his personal greetings in the best of traditions”, regarding the forthcoming event.
Uket further qouted the traditional ruler as saying,“ I hereby write to convey my acceptance and approval for the visit of the First Haitian American African Queen, Marie Antoinette Jean Pierre Theligene (Sister Biblo) and her husband and indeed,all those that will accompany them to their coronation and decoration ceremony with prestigious traditional titles of the famous Karu Kingdom of Nassarawa State, Nigeria…”
“Also to bag a Traditional Title at the event shall be Mr. Edmond Theligene, who will be decorated as the First Haitian-American King with the title of Kpata Biyi Karu.”
The Vice President of the Valley of Love Ministries in Nigeria,who expressed optimism of global presence at the event,called on all Nigerians and the international community to participate at this historic event.
According to him, the event “shall be developmental to nations of the world since it is predicated on humanitarian grounds.”
He also hinted that there shall be a Humanitarian conference preceding the title ceremony..
John said that the 2-day conference of the West Africa humanitarian refugees settlement conference, would take place at the Nicon Luxury, Abuja with the theme “Innovative Improvement Of West Africa Largest Refugees Settlement’.
According to him, it is being organized by a coalition of registered Humanitarian organizations committed to the improvement of the wellbeing of refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Nigeria and West Africa.
He said that the annual multidimensional humanitarian event was a fallout of the Lam Larsen Iconiq Impact Award involving institutions appraising programmes, share opportunities and possible recommendations to all stakeholders, especially those working to improve the conditions of refugees and other Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
John also expressed the hope that the event would provide an open access prospects to state and non-state actors in the humanitarian sector to share values through interactions, discussions, networking, peer learning and presentations.
Furthermore, he posited that the conference “shall equally present a platform to unveil the programmes and projects outline for Cameroonian refugees in parts of Nigeria such as Ogoja, Akampa, Benue as well as other Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in the North-East of Nigeria”.
He further hinted that it would create “a podium for international delegates presentations on leveraging opportunities for humanitarian actors.”
Meanwhile, the planning committee at the Esu Karu Palace has assured participants from around the world that the coronation ceremony would be colourful, assuring the public of high level preparedness toward achieving the aims and objectives of the event.
