Kidnappers abduct 7-year-old child, parents in Zamfara

Kidnappers in Zamfara State on Wednesday, abducted a 7-year-old child,the father and mother, a local news agncncy reports.

The agency qouted the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Police Command in the state,SP Muhammed Shehu, who confirmed the story,as giving the name of the father as Mr Babangida Ibrahim,who he described as an ex-councillor.

The Police image maker said the gunmen attacked the former councilor’s house at Damba in Gusau, the state capital at about 12.30 a.m.on the fateful day, adding that the ex-councilor who was left with gunshot wound,”is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.”

“The command has been on the trail of the kidnappers to ensure the rescue of the victims.

“The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Hussaini Rabi’u, has directed thorough investigation on the matter to ensure the arrest of the perpetrators,’’ Shehu said.
