Police Command in Kwara urges public identification of dead female body

Any member of public in Kwara state whose daughter or female got missing since May 28,2021 has been urged to visit the Police Command, Ilorin,the state capital to identify the corpse for release.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command,SP Okasanmi Ajayi,gave the advice in a statement he signed, a copy of which was made available to The Reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, on 28/5/2021 at about 1930hrs,the police responded to a call from one Olalwkan Anafi,the supervisor of PREMIUM DIAMOND HOTEL, Adewole area of Ilorin that,on 27/5/2021,at about 1400hrs, one Adegboye James of NO.12,Okelowo Street, Ede, Osun State lodged at PREMIUM DIAMOND HOTEL.

Okasanmi added that James went out and came back with one lady, pointing out that James went out and came back with a lady but later checked out without the knowledge of any of the staffers of the hotel.

The police image maker also said:” In morning of the following day when nothing was heard from the room,a spare key was used to open the room occupied by the lodger,where they found the dead body of the lady.”

Okasanmi further revealed that the Commisioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Lawal Bagega,had commenced investigation into the case with a view to arresting the lodger.

He, noted that the name and phone number James filled in the hotel’s log book were found to be fake.

The statement, Okasanmi said,  became necessaryt enable members of the public whose daughter or female ward missed since the day of the incident,visit the Homicide section of command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to identify the corpse for possible release.
