NELMCO Boss, Adebayo Fagbemi Makes Omo Atata Hall Of Fame List

Dr Adebayo Fagbemi – an economist, policy analyst, strategist and developing economy reformist, has been listed as one of the pioneer recipients of Omo Atata Hall of Fame Awards during the Ekinrin Adde Cultural Day Celebration 18/19 of this month.

OMO ATATA HALL OF FAME is a great honour reserved for sons and daughters that have done the community proud in their various fields of endeavor.

Adebayo Fagbemi has over 28 years working experience spread across various strategic functions after graduating at an early age.

His educational background includes B.Sc. Economics degree (2nd Class Upper Division), M.Sc. in Political Economy and Development Studies and currently rounding up a PhD in Governance from Monarch Business School, Switzerland.

His key skills and competencies include: Developing Economy Reforms, Policy Analysis, Investment Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Examination, Monitoring/Supervision, Asset, Liability and Pension Management, Labour Economics, Project Management, Mortgage Financing and Negotiations.

He is currently the MD/CE of the Nigeria Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO), having joined NELMCO as the Executive Director, Pensions Management.

Before joining NELMCO as Executive Director, Pensions Management, he held several Management positions which include among others; Deputy Director, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), where he actively participated in several economy reform programmes, including the reforms in the Power, Oil and Gas sectors.

He also pioneered the Risk Management Department of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) as an Assistant General Manager, having headed the bank’s Investment Desk for several years.

He has worked on various projects with a number of world class Consultants aimed at economy reforms and transformation. He has also served in membership capacity of many national committees.

Several awards winner with the most current being the first and only GOLD awardee of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) Self-Assessment Tool (SAT).

He has attended several trainings /programmes across Europe, America, Asia and Africa.

He is a Professional Fellowship Doctorate (Pfd) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economists (FCE). A Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) and a Fellow of the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management, among others.

He is happily married and blessed with children.
