Herdsmen allegedly chop hand in kwara

Some suspected herdsmen have allegedly cut off the hand of one one Saheed Zakariyau of Bindofu area of Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area of kwara state.

 

 

 

Confirming the incident in Ilorin the state capital, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),kwara command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi said:

“On Saturday, 12th June 2021, at about 1300hrs, One Mr Saheed Zakariyau with his colleagues of Bindofu area Lafiagi came to NSCDC Office Lafiagi Division to report the case.

“They said that they went to their farm at about 0930hrs, on getting there, they met a large herd of cattle and some fulani herdsmen grazing their rice farm.

“As they were trying to pursue fulani herdsmen and their cattle,in the process one fulani removed his cuttlass and macheted his right hand and the fulani ran away.”

He said that investigation had commenced on the matter with a view ongoing to apprehending the suspects.
