As Muslims in Nigeria joined their fellow Muslims all over the world,on Thursday, for the the 2021(Shaban 1442), they have been urged to factor into their worldly activities the recitation of the Holy Quran and imbibe the lessons therein to boost their closeness to almighty Allah and live a life ordained by Allah.

Ustaz Musa Bello, gave the advice at the Gadumo quarters, Lokoja Eidel praying ground, shortly before the Eidel fitri prayer.

He described the reading of the Holy Quran as very crucial to any muslim, stressing that the lessons derivable from such religious exercise would go along way to add to moral tone of the muslims in their relationship with other members of the society to ensure peace and development.

“If a Muslim can have all the time of this world to read other books or indulge in other activities, what stops him or her from devoting part of such time to read the Holy Quran and get closer to the almighty Allah,”Bello said.

He also called on Muslims to eschew arrogance and other negative behaviours that tended to question their moral status, adding that Islam demands of its adherents, humility, respect for others, besides the belief and practise of the five pillars of Islam which would pave way for their aljanah ( heaven).
