CARE Foundation cares for less privileged

An NGO, Community Assistance and Relief Foundation, (CARES), says its major focus is the transformation of rural communities into cities, where facilities like quality healthcare delivery, portable water supply and good schools will be in existence.

The Executive Director of the foundation, Mrs Bolanle Bola – Olorunsaiye, made the disclosure in Lokoja on Monday while donating some items to MOM orphanage and STAGI CORNERSTONE ORPHANAGE HOME.

She added that adding the foundation had been doing its best possible, since 2018, to improve the life of women and children in the communities there by lifting them from poverty,reduce insecurity and create peaceful environment for businesses to thrive.

The executive director said the objectives of the organization were also to provide financial, material and moral support among others to the less privileged in the society and assist the indigent and vulnerable members of the communities, through sustainable economic, social and financial plans.

Olorunsaiye said part of the focus of the organization was also to ⁹ create awareness and sensitize rural dwellers on hidden opportunities which they utilise to bring about maximum improvement in their social and economic live.

Expressed the determination of the NGO to serve as a bridge between communities, Government, agencies, professional bodies and international organizations to midwives opportunities, home and abroad to boost harmonious relationship and meaningful development in the society.

Speaking,the Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Fatimah Kabir Buba,lauded the foundation for touching the lives of the less privileged and vulnerable people in the communities.

She called on the well to do members of the society to emulate CARES’worthy example by bridging the gap between the Government and the people, reminding them that Government alone could not do it all for the people.

She, however,noted that the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello had been doing it’s best to better the lives of the vulnerable, through empowerment and appointments.

In their separate reactions, the management teams of the orphanages thanked the organization for the gesture, promised judicious use of the items and solicited more support to enable them adequately care for the children.

Our Correspondent reports that items donated include Food items, beverages,Face masks hand Sanitizers and a water reservoir for the MOM orphanage.

The online publication gathered that CARES foundation is supported by Aids Health Foundation.
