An Abuja-based musician, Liberty Williams, popularly called ‘ Pupayannis’ by his fans, has bagged a peace ambassador award organised by the Plateau State Social Media Award (PSMA).
Williams was given the award on Wednesday in Plateau by the PSMA at its third edition of the event.
The award was giving to him for promoting peace, love and unity not, only in Plateau State, but in Nigeria and the world at large.
Pupayannis, who is also the brand ambassador for ‘I believe in Peace Foundation’ ( IBPF), an NGO, said he dedicated the award to those who were worst heat “in this trying period”.
“You people will forever remain in our heart. I will continue to remember you people, come rain come shine in my own little way as ambassador of peace.
“All Iam striving to achieve or to be, is what I will be remembered for in my life time, as a musician with the stage name, ‘pupayannis,” he said.
Pupayannis, who disclosed that he was working on his latest album, titled ‘Special Mission’ which he said, said the work “stands for love, would soon heat the musical world.”
The PSMA is a yearly event organised to recognise and encourage Plateau citizens to gear them toward continually promoting peace and create exceptional contents daily to solve critical life problems thereby giving many people reason to smile whenever they visit their platforms.
“The PSMA is one of such platforms creating positive change in our society. The award is geared towards promoting ‘social media for social good’ . It is intended to give back to the society in appreciation, what it has already inputed, ” the organisers added.
