Kwara State Government has warned residents in the state of the need to respect COVID-19 protocols to guard against continuous violation of COVID-19 safety protocols, to halt infection rate and avert spike beyond control.
The Spokesman of the COVID-19 Committee and chief press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye gave the warning in a statement in Ilorin on Sunday.
He said the warning became necessary in view of the surge in the confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
He reminded the people that:“The last few days have seen sudden rise in our infection rates while more deaths have been recorded.
“On Sunday morning, the state recorded another death, taking its casualties to 30, while some other serious cases are being managed. More cases are being recorded. The time to stop being complacent is now.”
