BE WHO YOU REALLY ARE
I recount this thoughts in nostalgia. My friend’s new caught girlfriend was coming to visit. Then, my friend had just mattress, a chair and table in his room. He was going to receive a lady he considered a high class. He wanted to borrow fan, fridge and even gas cooker instead of his kerosene stove.
“What are you doing all of this for?” I asked.
“I want to impress my visitor.” He replied.
“What if after all, she is not impressed?” I asked. Before he could answer I asked again:
“Take it that she fell in love with your well furnished room, what happen next! Are you going to keep borrowing things each time she is visiting?“
Today, people do not only borrow material things in order to show off. They borrow face in the guise of MAKE UP. Borrow skin colour by bleaching and borrow even character too!
That is why relationship mostly do not work out or last long any more.
Be your real self at all times. Whoever will accept you the way you are will never have reason to regret. Putting up a falsehood self is like a gold coated ornament. You will be picked up by someone that is not looking for you. When your real colour reveal you are discarded.
However you are, there always will be someone for you.
