Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger-East Senatorial District, has urged Muslims and all the people from the zone to seek the face of Almighty Allah for an end to the lingering security challenges bedeviling the zone.

Musa, in his Eid-El-Kabir messag in Minna, said increasing security threats in many communities across Niger-East senatorial zone with attending loss of lives and property, including farmlands, made it imperative for Muslims to pray to Allah for divine intervention.

The Sen. noted that this year Sallah should not be all about celebrations but more of supplications and fervent prayers to Allah like Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had interceded for believers in his days on earth.

“As Muslims, we must make it an obligation to intercede for peace, unity, security and indeed, prosperity of East Senatorial District, Niger state and Nigeria as a whole.

” Let us seek the face of Allah for peace, unity and progress of our land”.

Musa said he had explored all humanly means possible to bring about peace and safety of lives and property.

These, he disclosed, include but not limited to political options; approaching both President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abubarkar Sani Bello all to no avail.

According to him, the only option left to his people is to seek for divine intervention for their safety.

“The prevalent security challenges seem to have defied all known solutions. The 2020 Eid-El-Kabir shouldn’t just be a time to eat, drink and make merry but a time to be sober and intercede for others, just as Prophet Muhammad (SWA) did during his sojourning here on earth”.

He said after exhausting all humanly known available options, nothing positive or tangible had come out of all his efforts, hence the resolve to seek for God’s intervention because of his firm belief that God cannot fail his people.

The lawmaker emphasized the need for Muslims to imbibe the sacrificial lifestyle and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Pbuh) who was willing to sacrifice his only son as commanded by Allah for his prayers to be accepted.

The Senator, whose Sallah message Musa was signed by Sagir Taffida, his legislative Aide however said all hands must be on deck in ensuring the security of Niger East and Niger state in general.

This he said could be done by the people supporting security agencies to discharge their responsibilities effectively.

Senator Musa solicited the support of Nigerlites for leaders at the three tiers of government through prayers for Allah to grant them wisdom to lead well.
