Late Edo Lawmaker’son, wife kidnapped in kogi, police rescue 3

Kidnappers have again struck along Irepeni, Lokoja-Okene Road and kidnapped late Zakawanu Garuba’s Wife and son, Former Speaker Edo State House of Assembly who died in Abuja on Friday morning.

His wife, who was traveling from Abuja to Auchi, was kidnapped while the kidnappers left the aged mother of the late lawmaker in the car because of her frailty.

The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayah William, confirmed the incident.

Ayah said following the receipt of information about the kidnapping, police swung into action and rescued three persons.

He was, however,not categorical about the identity of the victims rescued by the police.
