Lokoja

The Member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Lawal Muhammadu Idirisu, had called for calm on the recent judgement by a Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja which orders that Ajaokuta, Lokoja and koton karfe hence become part of the Igala kingdom.

The legislator made the appeal in a statement he made available to journalists in Lokoja on Thursday.

Recalled that “We have been leaving happily together as one, irrespective of tribal differences and embarked on inter marriages so we should not allow such judgement to divide us as it a civil and institutional matter.

“Ajaokuta is one and we should not allow ourselves to be divided as our unity has come a very long way,” he said.

He,therefore, urged his constituents to apply diplomacy and maintain peace as well as harmony within the domain and stop spreading further rumours that might cause disunity among the people.
