Breaking news: Bishop Masin, Nasarawa CAN Chairman kidnapped regains freedom

Bishop Joseph Masin,the Chairman, Nasarawa State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), kidnapped last week has regained his freedom.

The cheering news was disclosed by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Bola Longe in lafia on Sunday.

The police boss said that the cleric was freed by his abductors on Saturday night, following sustained pressure by security personnel.

He also revealed that following credible intelligence, the security operatives arrested four persons in connection with the abduction.

Longe said the religious leader was later reunited with his family in Lafia, the state capital at about 1:48 a.m on Sunday.

To butress Longe’s disclosure, a member of Masin’s family, who wants to remain anonymous, also confirmed that Masin had been reunited with his family.

He, however, said the Bishop had been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical examination.

Duaglobalnews, reports that, Lafia,a town with a name signifies peace has been disturbed by kidnappers and other criminals in recent times in the country.
