Eid-El-Fitr: Foundation urges Muslims to unite against COVID-19

Mr Ocholi Yusuf, Founder, Waves of Success Foundation,(am NGO), has called on the Muslim Ummah to unite in the spirit of the just concluded holy month of Ramada to intensify prayers for timely end of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Okpanachi, who made the call in a sallah message to the people of the state on Sunday in Lokoja, said the pandemic ravaging the world had affected the Nigerian economy and required a holistic spiritual and physical approach to nip it.

The founder who recently distributed over one million bottles of hand sanitizers and medical consumables to communities in Kogi East Senatorial District, also urged Nigerians y unite against the dreaded disease.

The founder also urged all faithful to adhere strictly to the Federal Government and WHO protocols by ensuring they wear facemasks, social distancing, washing of hands and application of hand sanitizers.

He said that the holy month of Ramadan and its religious obligations of fasting and the ensuing hygienic and sanitary practices further enhanced the observance of the protocols to help keep the virus at bay.

“I congratulate my fellow brothers and sisters on the end of Ramadan. May we use the lessons learnt to to impact positively in the societly.

“Let love lead in all our actions because with love, life is sweet, remember the needy while celebrating. May we be favoured to celebrate many more of such occasion in good health, sound Iman (Faith) and absolute peace.

“May this Eid-El-Fitr heal your pains, give you ease to let go of all your worries and fears.

“May Allah,the supreme being far above all creation, be your refuge and give you victory,” he prayed.
