Former House of Assembly aspirants under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state have urged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to consider some of them for political appointments.

The former aspirants, under the aegis of APC House of Assembly Aspirants Forum, made the call through the forum’s chairman, Hon. Teslim Yusuf in a statement in Ilorin on Tuesday.

Teslim recalled how they worked hard to ensure the victory of the APC in the last general elections in the state.

He added: “There is no where in the world where party politics doesn’t appreciate and reward faithful party men and women, most especially aspirants that galvanized their resources, time and risk their lives for freedom.

“The House of Assembly Aspirants Forum consists of people of high integrity, well educated and technocrats.

“We are not political jobbers because we earn a living in our various legitimate businesses and workplaces.”he said.

Decrying the neglect of his group by the governor in the area of appointments, Teslim stressed the need for the APC to put its house in order before the 2023 elections.

He also emphasised the need for the governor to compensate those who worked with him for the victory of the party in the 2019 general elections in the state.
