Delta state records,first Coronavrus case, number hits 254 in Nigeria

Delta state on Tuesday, recorded it’s first COVID-19 case, thus increasing the number of the of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in Nigeria to 254, amidst the world fight to put the pandemic disease to put COVID-19 at bay.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control which revealed Delta state case said”: Sixteen new cases were recorded on Tuesday with 10 in Lagos, 2 in Abuja, 2 in Oyo, 1 in Delta and 1 in Katsina.

“Till date, 254 cases have been confirmed, 44 cases have been discharged and six (6) deaths have been recorded in Nigeria

“Of the 16 new cases reported on the 7th of April, six(10) are in Lagos, two (2) is in FCT, two(2) are in Oyo, one(1) is in Delta and one (1) is in Katsina.

“All new cases have mild to moderate symptoms and are currently receiving care.

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” NCDC said.

“As at 09:30 p.m 7th April, there are 254 confirmed cases 44 discharged 6 deaths.”

Duaglobalnews reports that the partial compliance to the to “sit-at-home” ordered by the Kogi State Government continues but no reported case of the pandemic disease in the state,so far.
