The cheering news from Oyo state indicates that the Governor of Oyo state, Mr Seyi Makinde has tested negative to the pandemic Coronavrus.
Makinde had tested positive to the virus few days ago and had been isolated for treatment.

In a statement on his Twitter handle on Sunday night, the Governor revealed that he had been cured of the disease, adding that he tested negative to the test twice.

“I am deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period. I am so thankful. This evening, I received my second negative test result for COVID-19.

“I especially thank Prof Temitope Alonge, who acted in my stead as Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force,” he said.
