The Kwara state government has banned commercial transportation and closure of all worship centres, including markets across the state from 6a m on Thursday as part of efforts to curb the spread of Coronavirus disease.
The state Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi, gave the directive on Wednesday while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin.
Mr Alabi said there should be no movement of commercial vehicles, socio gathering and that all motor parks in the state should remain closed.
The Deputy Governor said that fast food joints were allowed to operate only on take-away basid.
He urged the people of the state to adhere to the directives of state government, aimed at curbing the spread of corona-virus in the state.
Alabi said security agents would be on ground to ensure full compliance of the directive.
