Lokojag
Journalists in Kogi State have commended President Muhammadu Buhari for confirming and appointment of Dr Folashade Yemi Esan as the substantive Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HoS).

Duaglobalnews reports that the substantive HoS, a Dentist surgeon, is from Kogi state.

The state Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Alhaji Adeiza Momoh Jimoh and Secretary, Ademu Seidu, in their statement on Sunday in Lokoja said that Buhari had once more demonstrated the resolve of his administration to give women their pride of place in the affairs of the country.

They described Esan as a” true daughter of Kog state who has worked hard to bring honour to the state and womanhood.”

According to the union, Kogi people, home and abroad, are proud of this feat achieved by their daughter, stressing that she has proved herself as a woman of impeccable character over the years.

The union, therefore, called on Esan to bring her wealth of experience to bear on her job by assisting the president to actualise his “Next level agenda” for the development of the country.

The two officials congratulated the entire people of the state on the appointment of their beloved daughter to the exalted position of HoS.

Esan, who acted in that position for about six months, took over from Mrs Eyo-Ita, retired.
