FRSC decorates 32 personnel in kogi, urges increased productivity

No fewer than 32 officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kogi Command, who benefited from the recent promotion in the commission have been decorated with their new ranks with a call on them to see their promotion as a challenge to put in their best.

Duaglobalnews reports that out of the number, 22 were officers while 10 were marshals (three Marshal Inspectors and seven Marshal Assistants).

Speaking at the ceremony at the FRSC, RS8.3, Kogi Sector Command, Lokoja, the Sector Commander, Mr Emmanuel Abe, congratulated the newly promoted officers and marshals for their commitment to duty, describing the cheering news in their life as a thing of joy.

According to him, among those personnel that promoted, there sre some that have been on their former ranks ranges from four to eight years.

Abe noted that five decorated officers were promoted to the rank of Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC), four to the rank of Superintendent Route Commanders (SRC), 11 to Route Commanders, while two were elevated to the rank of Deputy Route Commanders (DRC).

He also disclosed that out of the 10 marshals decorated, three were promoted to the rank of Marshal Inspectors, while seven to the rank of Marshal Assistants.

The sector commander further urged the newly promoted officers and marshals to be more committed to their duties, saying the new ranks were not meant for decorations or dressing but more responsibilities.

He stressed the need for the celebrators to put in all their best and behave maturely in their new status and positions to justify the confidence responded on the management of the commission.

”If you know you have not been behaving well and doing things not expected of you, this is the right time to change your attitude; the FRSC should be proud of you.

”Convince the FRSC management that they have not made mistake in promoting you; let us reciprocate the gesture by putting in our best in our new positions.

”Now, we are requesting more commitments from you more than before. It is a thing of joy, and we rejoice and felicitating with you,” Abe said..

In his vote of thanks, one of the newly promoted officers,ACC Hamzat Yakubu, who spoke on behalf of others, expressed joy for the promotion with promise not to betray the confidence reposed in his and his colleagues promoted.

He also lauded the sector commander for his support, and promised that they would continue to give their best and show more commitment to duties.

Also, a newly promoted officer, SRC Samuel Ahmed, a Sector Intelligent Officer, thanked God for the promotion, while urging other promoted officers to put in more efforts in saving lives on the roads.

Representatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Correctional Service, the Nigeria Police, among others, who witnessed the ceremony, congratulated the celebrators and urged them to be more committed to their duties.
