The Kogi State Government has dismissed as false ,a circulating report claiming that 25 political officials were sacked over alleged associations with certain political figures.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, described the report as baseless and mischievous, noting that its circulation had necessitated an official clarification.
Fanwo explained that only one Special Adviser was relieved of his duties, strictly because his services were no longer required, stressing that no other official was removed, and certainly not for reasons related to political alignment or loyalty.
He reaffirmed that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has no political dispute with any individual or group, emphasizing that the government remains committed to separating governance from politics in its pursuit of Kogi State’s continued development.
The Commissioner also highlighted the cordial relationship between the state government and Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, describing the federal lawmaker as a respected and illustrious son of Kogi State.
Fanwo urged members of the public to disregard the false report, which he said was the handiwork of individuals bent on creating unnecessary tension.
He assured that Kogi State remains peaceful, united, and firmly on the path of progress.
