The Magongo Development Association (MDA) has commended the Kogi State Government under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for donating a transformer to the community to enhance electricity supply and promote rural development.

The National President of the association, Mr. Jordan Akpata, gave the commendation on Tuesday in Magongo while receiving the 33KV transformer on behalf of the community.

Represented by Mr. Idowu Balogun, Akpata described the gesture as a clear demonstration of Governor Ododo’s commitment to developing both urban and rural communities across the state on an even scale.

He expressed optimism that the transformer would significantly boost power supply and stimulate socio-economic activities in Magongo and its environs.

“We sincerely appreciate the governor for this thoughtful intervention. It will no doubt improve electricity supply and accelerate development in our community. We also pledge our continued loyalty and support to the state government while hoping for more dividends of democracy, particularly in township roads and water supply,” Akpata stated.

Our correspondent recalls that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo recently launched the distribution of 30 units of 500kVA transformers across the three senatorial distritcts of Kogi State as part of his administration’s efforts to enhance rural electrification, improve security, and stimulate grassroots development.
