The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has said that the late Chief Judge of state, Justice Nasiru Ajanah,did not die as a result of COVID-19 but due to natural death.
He said this on Tuesday in Lokoja during the 3-day fidau prayer for the repose of the late Justice Ajanah.
Bello urged citizens of the state not to live in fear, stressing that COVID-19 “is an importation into the country and forced on the people.”
The governor said the death of Justice Ajanah death was being insinuated in some quarters for political and mischief purposes.
He lamented that Coronavirus was artificial and sold to Nigerians, describing it as worst than banditary, Boko Haram and geneocide.
The governor further advised the citizens not to give in to fear and evil of the issues of COVID-19, saying that ” it is a disease “imported, propagated” and forced on the people for no just cause.
“Nothing kills faster like fear, COVID-19 is only out to create fear, panic, pandemic, it is a disease orchestrated to reduce and shorten the lifespan of the people.
“Whether medical experts and scientists believe it or not, COVID-19 is out to shorten the lifestyle of the people, it is a disease propagated by force for Nigerians to accept.”
The governor,who described the late jurist as brain, jurist per excellence and a lover of peace,prayed Almighty Allah to grant him Aljanah fridau.
Earlier in a sermon, Justice Nurudeen Khalifa, urged Nigerians to live a life of emulation, pointing out that every man had a reward after death, and such, they should live a good life.
One of the brothers of the deceased,Hon.Kabiru Ajanah, a member of House of Representatives, thanked the state government for the support.
He said though the death of his brother painful, the family however took commendations made on his late brother by so many people as a consolation.
Duaglobalnews recalls that Justice Ajanah, a product of Government College, Keffi and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria died in Gwagwalada at the age of 64.
