The Association of Igbo Community in Ebira Land has denied any involvement in the proposed coronation of one Sunday Patrick Muonike in Egbiraland, as the Eze-Ndigbo of Okene, distances itself from the activities connected with the proposed event.

The association, in a statement jointly signed by its President-General, Chief Joseph Anikwe (JP), and Acting General Secretary, Mr. Anselem Okpoko, said its attention was drawn to an online publication announcing the planned coronation ceremony scheduled for Sunday, August 10, 2025.

According to the association, it has no affiliation with Muonike or the group behind the coronation, warning the general public not to associate the association with the event.

Reaffirming its legal status, the association said it is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and warned that any person or group attempting to impersonate it would face legal consequences.

It assured members of the public that it remains committed to lawful representation and peaceful coexistence within the Ebira community.
