The recent joint operation by the Hybrid Force and Forward Operating Base (FOB), Egbe, has brought a glimmer of hope to the people of Kogi State. The arrest of 12 notorious kidnappers and their informant is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Kogi State government under the leadership of His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo to restore peace and security in the state.

This remarkable feat is a direct result of the governor’s zero-tolerance stance on criminality and his administration’s collaborative approach with federal and regional partners. The synergy between the state government and security agencies has yielded outstanding results, disrupting the criminal route from Kwara into Kogi communities.

The bravery and professionalism of the security personnel involved in the operation are worthy of commendation. Their selfless service, including one of their own being shot in the line of duty, is a testament to their dedication to protecting the lives and property of Kogi State residents.

The Kogi State government’s commitment to covering the medical expenses of the injured security agent is a demonstration of the administration’s appreciation for their service.

The people of Kogi State, particularly the Yagba West Local Government Area, can now breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that their security is being prioritized. The leadership of Hon. Tosin Olokun, Executive Chairman of Yagba West LGA, has expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo for his decisive action, which has brought peace to the area.

The Kogi State government under Governor Ododo’s leadership deserves accolades for its tireless efforts in curbing insecurity in the state. The collaboration with security agencies and other stakeholders has yielded positive results, and the state’s residents can look forward to a brighter, safer future.

Kudos to the Kogi State government and the security personnel for a job well done!
