By Wilson Macaulay in Warri.

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode, has called on the Urhobo Ex-Militants Forum to throw their weight behind the second-term ambitions of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing the numerous developmental strides being recorded under their administrations.

Olorogun Oyibode made the call on Monday when he received the leadership of the Urhobo Ex-Militants Forum on a solidarity visit at the Udu Council Secretariat Otor – Udu.

According to Oyibode, Governor Oborevwori’s delivery of the MORE Agenda has repositioned Delta State on the path of sustainable growth and infrastructural advancement, describing the state as “a construction site” due to the volume of ongoing projects.

“ Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has shown uncommon leadership, prudence, and passion for the development of Delta State. I urge you to continue to mobilise your members to support him now and as we approach 2027,” Oyibode stated.

He further urged the Forum to extend the same unflinching loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose Renewed Hope Agenda, he said, is beginning to yield results, particularly in areas of economic recovery and national security.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Chief Ese Arigo, Chairman of the Urhobo Ex-Militants Forum and Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, commended Olorogun Vincent Oyibode the Udu Council Chair for his inclusive leadership and firm support for grassroots empowerment.

Hon Chief Arigo assured the Council Chairman of the Forum’s readiness to align with progressive leadership at both
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori at the state level and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the federal level.

“We came today not just to show solidarity but to affirm our resolve to support good governance and those who promote peace and development. Governor Oborevwori has been a father to all, and we, as Ex-Militants, have seen the positive changes under his watch. We are equally proud of President Tinubu’s courage in steering the nation through very tough reforms,” Arigo declared.

Arigo the Urhobo Ex-Millitants Forum Chair promised to work with all relevant agencies of Government to keep the state peaceful for unprecedented progress and development.

He added : ” The Urhobo Ex-Millitants Forum is appealing to the Governments at all levels to initiate more efforts for youth empowerment across Urhobo land and the Niger Delta at large.”
