,,Senior Citizens passionately Appeal To Senate To Approve the N758b bond for disbursement.

We thank the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the thoughtful proposal of a ₦758 billion bond to ease the pain and hardship being faced by our senior citizens, those who have served this country faithfully for decades.

We are encouraged that this noble initiative is now before the National Assembly for approval. We earnestly appeal to our distinguished lawmakers: please look at this matter with compassion and urgency. Many of our retirees are living in difficult and heartbreaking conditions after years of dedicated service to the nation.

Let us not allow our heroes to die in poverty and neglect. All we ask is a chance to live a dignified life, just like senior citizens in other parts of the world. Let us feel the impact of governance. Let us taste the fruits of peace, comfort, and honor in our old age.

The hardship under the current Contributory Pension Scheme (PENCOM) is becoming unbearable for many. It is our hope that this bond will mark a turning point for justice and humanity.

We call on the National Assembly: Please give us life. Please give us hope. Please give us a future.

May Almighty Allah bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this initiative.
May Allah bless the National Assembly with wisdom and mercy.
May Allah bless all Nigerian senior citizens. Ameen.

Many senior citizens in Nigeria face significant poverty, often struggling to meet basic needs due to inadequate retirement income, lack of social safety nets, and the absence of robust social programme, according to AI Overview.
