He said the CP’s ongoing tour of Police Formations and Divisions across the state, began with a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu, the Ohimege Igu of Koton-Karfe, and featured engagements with traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other critical stakeholders.

CP Dantawaye led a high-powered police management team on the visit, which also attracted representatives of sister security agencies and community leaders. His Royal Majesty, Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu, hosted the team at the palace, where discussions focused on boosting community-level security cooperation.

CP Dantawaye commended the monarch for promoting peace, unity, and inter-agency synergy in Koton-Karfe.

He described the royal father’s leadership as instrumental in maintaining harmony, citing the warm reception by multiple security agencies as evidence of effective collaboration.

The Police Commissioner stressed the importance of community-oriented policing, emphasizing the strategic role of traditional institutions in local conflict resolution and intelligence gathering.

Ayah added the tour is part of the CP’s wider strategy to foster a policing culture built on trust, information sharing, and stakeholder involvement.

According to him,the police commissioner announced plans to host town hall meetings across the state to hear directly from residents and tailor security strategies to local realities.

He assured residents of the Command’s commitment to intelligence led policing, inter-agency cooperation, and improved officer conduct.

The CP urged the public to continue volunteering credible information to aid crime prevention and resolution, particularly in areas prone to disputes such as land ownership and fishing rights.

In response, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu, praised the CP’s humility and hands-on approach, pledging continued support for security efforts. The monarch recalled his contributions to security while in government and reaffirmed his dedication to peace and progress in the community.

At the Divisional Headquarters, the CP held an interactive session with ward heads, religious leaders, and youth representatives where he reiterated the need for professionalism, discipline, and community collaboration among police officers calling for collective efforts to tackle local security challenges.
