The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Kogi State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC), Engr Ibrahim S. Abdwaaris, has congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the people of Kogi State on the occasion of the 2025 Eid Al-Adha celebration.

In a goodwill message issued in Lokoja on Thursday and signed by Alhaji Ali Atabor, Head of Public Relations at KERC, Engr Abdwaaris extended warm felicitations to the Governor, his Deputy, the Speaker and members of the Kogi State House of Assembly, the State Chief Judge, the Grand Khadi, and other top functionaries in the state.

“On behalf of the management and staff of KERC, I wish all Muslims in Kogi State a joyful and peaceful Eid Al-Adha celebration,” the statement read. “May this season bring unity, love, and prosperity to our homes and our dear state.”

The KERC boss reaffirmed the Commission’s unwavering commitment to meeting the concerns of electricity consumers and investors across the state.

He assured that KERC would continue to regulate the power sector with transparency, accountability, and efficiency at its core.

Engr Abdwaaris urged Muslims in the state to reflect on the values symbolized by Eid Al-Adha, sacrifice, obedience, and devotion, as exemplified in the story of Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail , noting that these virtues are crucial for societal harmony and the sustainable development of Kogi State.

Commending Governor Ododo for his leadership and vision, the KERC boss prayed for Allah’s guidance and blessings upon the governor, his team, and all citizens of the state.

“As we celebrate this sacred festival, let us remain committed to the growth of our state. KERC remains dedicated to transforming the electricity landscape in Kogi for the benefit of every household and business,” he said.
