Members of the Lokoja Branch of the Okengwe Development Association,ODA, have commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his impressive performance and purposeful leadership style.

This commendation is contained in a statement signed by the branch chairman, Dr. Haroun Yussuff, a copy of which was made available to The Reporters in Lokoja on Sunday.

The members noted with delight that the Ododo-led administration has brought “renewed and positive hope” to the state, describing the current governance as “a consolidation of fresh air in Kogi State.”

During their recent monthly meeting held at Comrade Bala Youth House, the Lokoja ODA branch reaffirmed its commitment to community development, solidarity, and patriotic support for initiatives that promote progress.

“A key resolution of the meeting was a heartfelt appreciation of the ongoing efforts by the ODA President-General, Emmanuel Sani, towards establishing a Police Children School in Okengwe.

“Members hailed the initiative as a step in the right direction for educational advancement and social development in the area.

“They also expressed deep gratitude to all patriotic donors who have contributed financially to the school project and offered prayers for divine blessings upon them for their generosity.

“Further appreciation was extended to other ODA branches that have made financial contributions toward the same cause.

“The Lokoja branch acknowledged their collaborative spirit and wished them continued success in their respective development efforts.

“Looking ahead, members were urged to prepare for decisive discussions at the next meeting, scheduled for the last Thursday in June 2025. That meeting is expected to focus on the Okengwe school project and other pressing community issues.

“The association also emphasized the importance of punctuality at all meetings, noting that timely attendance enhances the quality of deliberations on matters of shared concern.

“In a final note of solidarity, the Lokoja branch extended warm wishes for the speedy recovery of its Secretary, Mr. Mike, who was recently involved in a motorcycle (okada) accident.

“Members also offered collective prayers for economic relief and stability in Nigeria, expressing hope for better days ahead for all citizens,” Yussuff said.
