Dangote Industries Limited has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s economic development through its robust participation in the ongoing Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition.

At the Dangote Special Day held during the fair, the company received accolades from government officials and stakeholders for its strategic investments and contributions to industrial development in Nasarawa State.

Speaking at the event, Governor Abdullahi Sule, represented by the Commissioner for Trade, Industry, and Investment, Hon. Muhammed Sani Otto, lauded the company’s significant achievements, particularly through the Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL).

He expressed optimism about the Group’s potential to expand its footprint in other sectors of the State’s economy.

“Nasarawa is blessed with vast solid mineral resources and opportunities in agriculture, manufacturing, and infrastructure. A strengthened partnership with Dangote Group can fast-track the State’s economic transformation and support Nigeria’s broader industrialization agenda,” Otto said.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa State Chapter, Mr. Nidan Sambo Manasseh, praised Dangote Group’s sponsorship of the fair, describing it as a catalyst for local enterprise growth. He encouraged the Group to explore additional investment opportunities in the State.

“The Nasarawa Trade Fair (NASTFE) aligns perfectly with the Governor’s vision to attract investors and drive economic development. Dangote’s presence here is a strong endorsement of that vision,” Manasseh added.

The State’s Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Investment, Hajiya Khadija Oshafu Nuhu, reaffirmed that Nasarawa is open for business and called on Dangote Group to tap into the numerous emerging opportunities.

Reinforcing the company’s commitment, Chief Branding and Communication Officer of Dangote Group, Mr. Anthony Chiejina, stated, “Nasarawa State remains central to our national investment strategy. Our sugar project, upon completion, will rank among the largest in Africa and significantly reduce Nigeria’s sugar importation.”

Also speaking, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, Senior Special Adviser to the President of the Dangote Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to long-term partnerships. “We are fully committed to Nasarawa State. Our Strategic Business Units (SBUs) are actively participating in this trade fair, showcasing our broad portfolio and our willingness to deepen investment in the State.”

Participating SBUs from Dangote Group include: Dangote Fertilizer Limited (DFL), Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN), Dangote Sinotruk, Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Salt (NASCON), and Dangote Cement Plc.

Dangote Group continues to drive inclusive economic growth by investing in key sectors, supporting local economies, and creating jobs across Nigeria.
