Nigerian youths have been urged to take charge of their future by creating opportunities rather than waiting for them, as experts stress the importance of innovation, resilience, and strategic execution.
At a youth empowerment conference organized by LearnSmart, an innovative Edutech company, on Thursday in Iyana Iyesi, Ota, Ogun state, speakers emphasized that having a great idea is just the starting point—bringing it to life is the real challenge.
Mr. Sanni Adedokun, Founder of LearnSmart and Chief Innovation and Operations Director at Adedokun International Schools, stressed the need for young people to develop their ideas into sustainable ventures.
“In a fast-changing world, an innovative idea alone is not enough. The key challenge is transforming that idea into something realistic and sustainable,” Adedokun said.
The conference, themed “More Than Just an Idea: Be Inspired by Powerful Brand Stories,” attracted around 550 participants eager to learn from industry leaders.
Speaking on entrepreneurship and technology, Mr. Tokunbo Arannilewa, CEO of EONSFLEET, emphasized that successful entrepreneurs do not wait for opportunities—they create them.
Hajia Aishat Mustapha, Creative Director of MAIRACHAMP, shared insights on overcoming the hurdles of starting a business, stressing resilience and persistence as crucial factors in building a lasting brand.
Some participants told our correspondent that they left the conference inspired to take proactive steps toward transforming their ideas into impactful businesses.
