The Chairman of the Ebira People’s Association (EPA) Lokoja Chapter, Comrade Moses Momoh, has urged members of the Odeyani-Anebira Coronation Planning Committee to remain steadfast, diligent, and proactive in their duties.
Comrade Momoh gave the advice while inaugurating the central planning committee for the planned event during a meeting held at the EPA office in Lokoja on Wednesday.
He emphasized the importance of the committee’s work in ensuring the coronation is a resounding success.
According to the chairman,the terms of reference of the committee include developing effective and fitting modalities that will bring the event to life,in a way that reflects the cultural significance of the occasion.
Responding on behalf of the committee, High Chief Steve Salawu, the Director-General of the planning committee, expressed gratitude to the EPA Chairman for his trust.
He assured that the committee would put all necessary measures in place to deliver a well-organized and successful coronation ceremony.
The planning committee includes members from various sectors, including the Association, Academia, Medical, Media, and other professional fields, reflecting a diverse and committed approach to the task ahead.
Our correspondent recalls that kogi state government announced the appointment of a new Odeyani Anegbira of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulkarim Obeto about a month ago.
He replaces Alhaji Abdullahi Otonoku Mayaki,who died in 2024 at the 125 year, having reigned for about 15 years.
