The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has called on its personnel to avoid actions that could tarnish the image of the corps.
This directive came from the newly appointed State Commandant, Esther Akinlade, during her official handover ceremony, taking over from the outgoing Commandant, Paul Igwebuike, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant General (ACG).
Commandant Akinlade pledged to build on her predecessor’s successes, particularly in the areas of discipline, intelligence gathering, and crime prevention across Kogi State.
She emphasized that new measures would be implemented to ensure that officers perform their duties to the best of their abilities.
In his farewell speech, ACG Paul Igwebuike called for continued support for the new Commandant to help her achieve the corps’ goals and fulfill the vision of Commandant-General Ahmed Abubakar Audi.
