The Police Command headquarters in kogi state was on Thursday came alive with celebration as ninety-eight Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The Commissioner of Police Bethrand C. Onuoha, extended his congratulations to the newly promoted officers and urged them to uphold professionalism and human rights in their duties.
He emphasized that their promotion is both a recognition of their hard work and a call for even greater dedication and a reminder that promotion comes with responsibility.
SP William Ovye Aya, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the command, in a statement said the ceremony was attended by the Command Management Team and the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo who congratulated affected officers.
He called them to remain committed, civil, and professional in their roles, assuring continued support and collaboration for enhancing security in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, ASP John Jatto Abadem, expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and the Chairman, Police Service Commission, Hashimu Salisu Argungu (DIG Rtd), mni, for recognizing the efforts.
He vowed that the officers would uphold the integrity of the Nigerian Police and serve with unwavering professionalism.
