“Troops also arrested seven suspects along Road Chikai – Bantaji Market in Wukari, involved in kidnapping and cattle rustling, and confiscated illegal firearms.
“Additionally, arms trafficker Isyaka Yusuf was detained at Bantaki Market, and two more suspects, Muhammad Usman and Abdulqadir Sule, were arrested along Wukari – Ibi Road with mobile phones, motorcycles, and cash,”he said.

In another operation, troops arrested Tiv Militia members Fidelis Nyitar and Isaiah Ioraa along Road Takum – Katsina Ala.

They were enroute to procure supplies for militia operations. On 21 August 2024, Mela Selim, a suspected Tiv Militia kingpin, was arrested for the murder of the Chief of Chanchangi.

While patrolling Lissam in Ussa LGA, troops successfully repelled a terrorist ambush, recovering weapons and motorcycles.
