World Bank boosts food production in Nasarawa with $250,000 interest free loan.

The World bank has given $250,000 as loan to 620 to boost food production in the state.

Disbursing the loan to the beneficiaries in Doma, headquarters of Doma Local Government Area of the state on Sunday,the Governor of the state,Engr. Abdullahi Sule, promised that the interest free facility would be used judiciously.

According to Governor Sule,the loan, facilitated by the world Bank, is in line with the mantra of the APC administration in the state.

He explained that the loan is an Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL), designed to address the climate change with effect on the farmers in the state.

Sule added that the disbursement of the lian was in line with the vision of the state and Federal Government to support farmers to boost food production.

The Governor promised the people of the state that his administration would not fail on his mandate of uplifting their living standard.

Our correspondent reports that 367 males, 253 females benefitted from the loan disbursement.
