It is far becoming worrisome development seeing some babies begging for alms in some strategic locations in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital in recent time.
Above picture shows this segment of the Nigerian population in their enclave, waiting for the next person to run to for alms.
As one set goes for alms, others wait for their turn.

They are usually seen on popular Post office, Lokoja, soliciting for alms from passengers disembarking from tricycle and commercial motorcycle among other means to eke living.
Some members of the public, in separate interview with our correspondent, expressed concern over the plight of these children, adding that begging for alms, especially along roads has the potential of exposing them to accident and some other unfortunate circumstances.
