(Lokoja)
A litre of fuel remains N128.00 at the independent filling stations in lokoja, kogi state capital despite the reduction of the pump price to N108.00 per litre by the Federal government, about two weeks.
A correspondent of Duaglobalnews, who visited many of such filling stations on Monday in the state capital, said that only NNPC filling on Felele road sold fuel at the new Price of N108 per litre.
Many of the attendants who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, said they had not received directive from their employers to adjust their meters to reflect the new price.
However, some of the motorists, especially the commercially oriented ones, have called on the Federal government to compel the independent marketers to key into the new price regime in the sale of fuel.
They argued that doing so would force down transport fare and trickle down to other social and economic activities of the various segments of the population in the state.
