From Willy Punvwet in Lafia.

The Nasarawa state governor, Engr.Abdullahi Sule, has advised the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, to put aside all political party differences and throw his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This,he said became necessary to boost the president’s untiring efforts to rescue Nigeria out of its “present economic turmoil”.

Receiving Obi,who is on tour of the country in Lafia,on Monday ,the state capital,Governor Sule explained that the time for politics had past, pointing out that it is now time for people like Mr Peter Obi to join hands with Tinubu to fast-track the growth and development of the country.

” There is time for Politics and time for Governance, I want to advice that you bring to bear, your wealth of experience and expertise to support the Tinubu- led administration in his on going struggle to reshape the nation and make it a better place for all to live in.” Governor Sule said.

The governor expressed optimism that knowing Mr Obi for quite some time now, as a man with vast knowledge, especially in the areas transacting business,he could bring such expertise to bear on how to improve the economic fortunes of the country.

The governor ,who said that the current challenges that bedeviled the country could not be resolved by one person, expressed the hope that Mr Obi would willingly contribute his quota in such direction.

Engr. Sule, however, expressed gratitude to the Labour party flag bearer for his efforts at cushioning the effect of the economic hardship on the people, the same way and manner President Tinubu and all state Governors are doing.
Earlier, Mr Peter Obi praised the developmental stride of Governor Sule, especially on roads construction in state.

He said he was in the state as part of his nation-wide tour ,of the country, particularly show solidarity with the Muslims, especially at this Holy month of Ramadan.

He thanked the governor Sule for the warm reception accorded him.
