Photospeak: Kogi govt.takes steps to avert repeat of flood.

A stitch in time,the popular adage says,saves nine.
Going by the tenet of this wise saying,the Ododo-led government has embarked on a massive evacuation of debris, drainage and channels in Lokoja and its environs to avert flood and ensure healthy environment for the people.
The cleaning exercise, which precedes raining season,is being spearheaded by Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management and implemented through the Kogi State Sanitation and Waste Management Board, under the supervision of the commissioner in charge of ministry,Engr.Joseph Oluwasegun Stephen.

The Reporters recalls that the state was hit by the 2012 and 2022 flood which left in its trail, monumental damage to farm lands buildings and other infrastructure, worth billions of naira as well as loss of lives.
