Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo,Governor-elect,kogi state.
The Management and members of Staff, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS),have felicitated with the Governor-elect of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and his Deputy, Comrade Joseph Oyibo Salifu, for their resounding victory at the polls on the November 11, 2023.
They won the election on the , platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
The felicitation message is contained in a statement signed on sunday in Okene by the Executive Chairman of the Service, Alhaji Sule Salihu Enehe and released to The Reporters by Muhammad Mukhtar Idris, Head, Corporate Communications Unit in Lokoja on Monday.
The Chairman noted that the will of the people had once again been translated into victory for Ododo at the polls.
He cited the importance of the strength of unity of the people of Kogi State as the election had come to an end,adding that they should show that “there is unity in diversity”.
According to him, the victory of Ododo is also a testament to the concept the “One Kogi Agenda” promoted by the current administration of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and laboured to achieve.
The Executive Chairman specially congratulated Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, for his uniqueness in leadership that,noting that such leadership quality “will forever remain indelible in the hearts of all Kogites.”
He also acknowledged the Governor’s achievements, over the years, as unprecedented and thanked him for not falling short of expectations of the people “despite the challenging times and turns that he met and encountered.”
The Executive Chairman also congratulated the entire citizens of Kogi State, for a free and free election.
He noted that this is a common win for all, regardless of any party affiliations,pointing out that” we all still have our Kogi in one piece after the process.”
He said that Ododo’s victory is “a process which has clearly defined all Kogites as winners of the just concluded elections.”
The Executive Chairman urged every contestants to work with the new government for the greater good of the common all.
He prayed for God’s wisdom, guidance and understanding to be bestowed on the new Governor-elect to work out exploits in the State and do exceedingly greater than has been recorded in the State, even as he prayed for him for a successful tenure in long life and good health.
