Renovation work progressed steadily at the Kogi State Assembly with the site supervisor, Arc. Adeniyi Olanrewaju promising to deliver the job on 8 weeks deadline his company reached with the state government.
He gave the commitment on Wednesday when the Commissioner for Works and Housing,Mr.Samson Bako paid an unscheduled visit to the site in Lokoja for inspection,adding that his company would deliver the job in accordance with the stipulated work plan.
Olarrwaju told the commissioner that his principal was committed to the project, assuring him that the work had not been one day put on hold since it was the flagged-off.
The Reporters recalls that Kogi State Government, 07/07/2023, awarded the contract for the renovation of the burnt Complex.
The structure was gutted by a mysterious fire on October 10, 2022, necessitating the sitting of the 7th Assembly and the current one at the Speaker’s Lodge.
Bako, who expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment and determination of the contractor to deliver on schedule, urged him to expedite action and maintain the tempo till the execution and handing over of the project in September as stipulated in the contract agreement.
